Recipe Of Rice Kheer
Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 35- 40 minutes
Ingredients :
- Basmati Rice or Gobindo Bhog Rice 3 tbsp
- Fuul Fat Milk 1 litre
- Sugar 1/2 cup
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Cardamom 4 podswell.
- Almonds Slivered 10-15
- Cashew Nuts chopped 10-15
- Bayleaf 2 nos
- Condensed Milk 2 tbsp
- Salt A Pinch
Method :
- Wash the rice and soak in 2 cups of water for 10-15 minutes.
- Boil the milk in a wide pan.Once the milk start to boil then add slightly crushed cardamom pods,bay leaf.
- Then drain the rice and mix it with 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Add the rice in the milk and cook it on low to medium flame till rice gets cooked nicely and milk has reduced to almost half.So keep mixing every now and then ,make sure that it is not brunt in the bottom.
- When the rice is almost cooked then add sugar,a pinch of salt and also add condensed milk , mix it well.
- Let it boil till the mixture thickens slightly.It wiil be take 30 - 40 minutes.
- Swich off the gas flame.Add chopped cashew nuts and mix it well.
- Garnish with Almonds slivers and Ghee.
- Then serve it hot or chilled.( This rice kheer would thicken as it cool down.If you want then you can adjust consistency by adding little warm milk and mix it well when serving it.)
